On April 10, 2021 the Kaufman Leadership Class sponsored “Casino Royale”, a fundraiser benefitting the Norville Children’s Emergency Shelter, at A Thousand Cedars in Scurry, TX.
The Kaufman Leadership Class made a check presentation at the April 21st Shelter Board meeting. Those present were:
Leadership class: Deborah Bonner, Kelsey Davis, Jennifer Murrey, John Scarborough, Fadelia Blair, Nick Butler, Ivan “Eli” Elizarraras, Tamara Chappell
Shelter Board members: Janas Byrnes, Jody Deller, Erleigh Wiley, Kim Zaby, Betty Mayfield, and Mike Holley. Director David Asbill and Kaufman County Liaison Pam Corder.
With over 200 in Attendance, there was gaming, a silent auction, a raffle and dinner. We want to thank all those who participated in the event with their presence and their donations. We also want to thank the Kaufman Leadership Class of 2021 who did such a spectacular job of putting the event together.
All the hard work paid off. A sum of sixty-eight thousand five hundred eighty five dollars ($68,585.00) was raised.
