The Crandall Middle School Peer Assisted Leaders (PALS) wrote a grant and chose to make the Kaufman County Emergency Children’s Shelter the recipient of the funds. The students were divided into 3 groups to make purchases based on the ages of the children. The PALS students remarked how they were challenged to make the most of their budget without going over the final total of $500.00. The PALS students enjoyed bringing the toys, books, and craft supplies to the shelter and spending the afternoon with the children.
